SAFETY WARNING
|
Concerns ALL lineTight Models!
|
Currently we dont have any safety warnings in the usual sense concerning the lineTight.
But there are some safety advices and safety notices for safe operation of the lineTight to be observed. Things that could lead to dangeraous situations are self explanatory to the greatest extent or they are self-evident
(such as overloading).
Here in short form the less evident, which has to be observed implicitly:
DO NOT TOUCH the slackline, lineLock, lineGrip and particularly the chain
while the lever is being agitated (while "ratcheting")!
During the whole setup procedure:
NEVER step on the loose webbing lying on the ground!
No person may be situated infront of, below or above the tensioning equipment!
|
The following safety advices are provided for safe operation of the lineTight:
- It is prohibited for anyone to be situated infront of, below or above the tensioning equipment!
- No one except the person operating the lineTight may be situated near the tensioning equipment during the tensioning phase!
- Attention DANGER: Standing on the loose webbing that lies on the ground during the tensioning process (because of the stretch that is pulled "out of" the webbing), can lead to heavy injuries in the case of malfunction of the tensioning equiment!
- Attention DANGER: Holding on to the chain or any other component of the tensioning system (except for the lever grip), can lead to heavy injuries in the case of malfunction of the tensioning equiment!
The following safety advices help to avoid unnecessary damages:
- DANGER OF BREAKAGE: Never pull the red chain connector at the end of the chain INTO the lineTight while tensioning (stop one chain link early)!
- DANGER OF BREAKAGE: Never pull the black pulling handle at the end of the chain INTO the lineTight while de-tensioning (stop one chain link early)!
- Please avoid complete de-tensioning of long and highly tensioned Longlines! Doing so can overheat the lineTight's braking system possibly resulting in failure of the brake! We suggest to always use a special de-tensioning system (i.e. lineLoose).
- The lineTight is NOT equipped with a tensile force limiter! Pulling on the handle with more than 25kg of force will eventually lead to overloading of the lineTight (the tension will exceed the allowable load). It is therefore the sole responsibility of the operator to monitor the tension in the system continuously and to ensure that the working load of the lineTight and other gear will NOT be exceeded!
Please always observe the saftey instructions and warnings in the manual!
